Sekinchan Wishing Tree
The Sekinchan Wishing Tree is located at Pantai Redang, Sekinchan. It is a tree that combine so many wishes. The location of this place is near to the Pantai Redang Datuk Kong Temple. The main target tourists is from Chinese people. There are thousands of red ribbons that are hung on the tall and big tree which consists of people's wish. It becomes a tradition since few years back for people to express their wishes. The visitors can write down their wishes, then tie it with coins. After that, they will throw that ribbon to the tree. Based on the believers of Sekinchan Wishing Tree, the higher the ribbon is thrown, the higher the hope for the wish to come true. The place is open for 24 hours, 7 days per week and it can be accessibled by all people.

"I personally love the serenity and tranquility of this place during weekdays, you can free your mind and do nothing by merely enjoying the horizon created by the sky and the ocean. Note: avoid to visit during weekends, as the numerous tourists flocking in that somehow or rather ruined the atmosphere of this wonderful beach."

"Small and peaceful place, the temple is under renovation now. To purchase the ribbon to make wish you can get from the prayer place beside, pay as you desire. Wishing tree was tall and big, there are ice cream and food sold nearby too. It was a short walking distance to the Redang beach and some food stall. The weather is hot and we had to order coconut water to cool down. Overally a great experience and we spent around 1 hour there."

"Nice place to take pictures though most people were there to make wishes. The little market opposite it offered lots of dried seafood products and snacks. Was a good place to get them!"

"A famous place for us to make wishes to the wishing tree. You are able to get the wish band that is located inside the temple. There is a table with a pen for you to write your own wishes before "throw" up to the tree.
Trick: you should hold the center of the band with both of the rings on the bottom, then only u "throw up" after you make a wish."
